Autumn and Spring seasons are reckoned best for this trek. Annapurna base cam trek which lasts for the duration of 14 days is a highly exquisite trek. This famous trek starts in the famous city Pokhara. It aims to the trekking point up to 4130 meters which is the Annapurna Base Camp. With this height, half a dozen of peaks with height over 4000 meters can be seen. This trek will not only provide you with a breath taking and beautiful views of the Annapurna Sanctuary but also give you the taste of the awe-inspiring south face of the Mountains like Annapurna.
Annapurna trekking region is situated in Pokhara. Thus, this is where the trek initiates. It terminates at the Annapurna Sanctuary making this trek the only view-intensive trek in Nepal. To be exact, the trek starts with a short drive to Nayapul. From there, we soar upwards through terraced farmed lands and traditional rurals. It also leads to climbing via rhododendron and oak forests which are truly the blessings of the nature. With views of various exotic streams and waterfalls, a glimpse of snowy white himalayas can be taken.Over all, it provides a complete package of the view of pretty rural areas, terraced farming fields of traditional crops which are at the foot of Machhapuchre (6993m0 and the Annapurna I with Hiucghuli. These all features combined, makes it an extremely rewarding trek.
Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1: This day marks the arrival in Kathmandu.
Day 2: On this day, we head to pokhara as our initiation venture. Transportation means is negotiable.
Day 3: On this day, we drive to nayapul for two hours and ascend to the steep staircase to magar village of ulleri.
Day 4: We ascend to Ghorepani and stay over night at lodge.
Day 5: We visit the Poonhill which elevates to 3200 meters and thereby we trek to Tadapani.
Day 6: Leaving Tadapani, we descend steeply through forests and then the trail eases as we reach Gurjung. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 7: We walk through the forest to Kuldi Ghar, before the route goes steeply down a bank of rock and then levels out, running through riverside bamboo thickets along the base of the gorge. Night stay at lodge.
Day 8: On this day, we trek to Fishtail Base Camp (Machhapuchhere Base Camp).
Day 9: We trek to Annapurna Base Camp which is totally surrounded by mountains and this area is also known as the Annapurna Sanctuary.
Day 10: Annapurna Base Camp we follow the same trail down today. It is around 7 hours easy walk back to Bamboo. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 11: We trek to Jhinuwa Hot Spring. Following the same trail until Chommrong.From Chomrong the trail descends very steeply to the Jhinuwa.
Day 12: On the 12th day, from Jhinuwa hot spring we start our trek to Deurali. Deurali being a good base to look at the Annapurna range and the route you have trekked in the last days. Overnight at Lodge.
Day 13: We make a three hour trek to Phedi where our vehicle awaits us to transfer us to Pokhara. Afternoon is free to explore the town.
Day 14: With a 7 hour drive back from Pokhara , the afternoon is free for last minute Kathmandu sight seeing.
